If you press Alt+PrtScn buttons it will allow you to copy the active window to the clipboard. You can easily paste wherever and on whichever program you want to.
If you press Windows key+shift+S the screen will get dim. You will see a cross cursor on the screen. You will be allowed to drag that cursor and select the part of screen . The part of screen highlighted will allow you to take the screenshot of the that selected part to paste. This function is valid only when latest version of windows 10 is installed.

First of all open the snipping tool program from the start bar. On the window select mode menu and select the type of screenshot you want.
